CHRISTIAN HIGHER EDUCATION BUSINESS SCHOOL EDE
On September 9, the kick-off of the graduation year for business students of the Christian University of Applied Sciences Ede was held at Labnest.
From tastings, drone demonstrations, bbq and Labnest "passion" ice cream to pitch challenge and award ceremony where the top 5 of the 16 pitches will work on their own startup within Labnest and were taken to great heights with a helicopter tour over the Foodvalley region.
The kick-off was entirely devoted to the entrepreneurial spirit, together with 75 students, directors of regional companies and invited guest speakers from the region; Bambook (Richard Aangeenbrug & Brent Waterman), Flitsmeister (Jorn de Vries), Vin Natoer (Carlita Companjen & Sanne Elisabeth Talmon), Bakker Bart Ede (Ronald Van Kolthoorn), Corvus Drones (Frans-Peter Dechering), Eelco Craanen (Partner CROP accountants & advisors), Rob den Hollander (Rabobank Vallei and Rijn), Maud Hulshof (Alderman Wageningen and Region Foodvalley), Jan-Pieter van der Schans (Alderman Ede).

The Summer Entrepreneurs of Region Foodvalley have festively completed their six-week trajectory. Over the past few weeks, 15 young people became acquainted with entrepreneurship and took their entrepreneurial idea further with expert guidance.
Thomas van Hastenberg won the Summer Entrepreneur 2021 title with his startup Breeding Fauna selling exotic insects.

In collaboration with Junea Smart vending, Labnest brought the Junea to its own location by helicopter.
A nice sideshow for those interested in the Junea: those who order the smart self-service machine before April 30, 2021, but have a chance of a 'spectacular delivery' by Bas Smit himself: ,,I will deliver it to you by helicopter. That's gold, isn't it?!”
