With a background in design, film and technology, Valerie van Zuijlen (26) has studied all over the world. To thus establish a multidisciplinary practice as a creative director. Her work has been presented internationally and has been awarded several titles. As a budding young master, her ambition to create a craft of the intangible skill is defined as "connection".
VALERIE: “There is a huge gap between graduating and taking the next step towards business. With the ambition to become a self-made entrepreneur and to set up your own startup. The lack of a guidance on how to do this, a real space to develop and like-minded colleagues to brainstorm and share ideas with makes it a leap of faith before you even start."
This transition from student to entrepreneur, also with the lack of space to share similarly aligned experiences within start-up entrepreneurship, led to the foundations behind the initiative called LABNEST. The initiative that not only facilitates the space but also offers the necessary guidance to get started as a starting entrepreneur. By collaborating with regional professionals and industry companies (accountants, banks, lawyers, marketers), Labnest provides a professional think tank incubator that not only houses and facilitates the emerging generation of startups to launch their "moonshot", but also guides them to place your startup in the world of business leadership.
